About Nicolas Perrin

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, where my early years were filled with creativity, imagination, and the wonders of nature. Much of my childhood was spent outdoors, inventing games, lost in playful worlds shaped by intuition and resourcefulness. I was a quiet, sensitive, and conscientious child—deeply imaginative, yet often hesitant to take up space.

Some of my fondest memories are of time spent with my grandfather, who authored a comprehensive encyclopedia on the history of civilizations. I was particularly captivated by ancient Egypt, the mysteries of the pyramids, and the esoteric wisdom of early cultures. This fascination planted a seed—a deep reverence for ancient knowledge and the unseen forces that shape our lives.

Despite natural talent, I struggled with confidence. As a teenager, experiences in sport mirrored my inner world: early wins would slip away, not because I lacked ability, but because something inside me resisted success. I feared making mistakes, feared being seen, and often chose invisibility over vulnerability. I became a chameleon—careful, accommodating, and hidden.

A spiritual awakening began in 2006 when I read The End Times by Kryon. It opened a doorway to truths beyond the material world. But it was in 2010, during the passing of my mother, that a profound shift occurred. Witnessing her spirit gradually transition was an extraordinary experience—one that dissolved the illusion of death and ignited a deepening relationship with soul and the divine.

At the time, I was working in corporate finance. The 2008 financial crisis amplified my inner dissonance with the values of that world. When interviewing senior leaders about their reason for partaking in banking, they told, “It’s a lifestyle choice,” and I began to realise that my path lay elsewhere. I left banking in early 2011, guided only by intuition. After my mother’s passing, I attended a retreat in the Blue Mountains that catalyzed a new direction. There, a conversation with the retreat owner unexpectedly led to a role managing events and operations. It was my first experience of surrendering fully into the unknown and allowing life to reveal the next step.

In 2012, another intuitive pull urged me to leave that role and step fully into my own healing practice. It was a confronting time. For the first time, I was no longer an employee. There were no scripts, no guarantees—only my willingness to show up, to trust, and to lead from soul.

Over the years, I experimented, created, collaborated. My early business, Authentic Freedom Now, gave way to Love Intelligence, a corporate heart-values leadership venture. Eventually, in 2013, Lion Heart Coaching was born—a visionary, soul-led coaching practice grounded in resonance and intuitive alignment.

Travel and self-exploration have also been core to my path. After university, I backpacked through Eastern Europe, confronting and healing layers of sexual repression rooted in a strict religious upbringing. From 2017 to 2020, I travelled the world exploring sacred sites and intentional communities, rekindling my reverence for the holistic wisdom of ancient civilizations.

Between 2022 and 2024, everything I had built began to unravel. What followed was an 18-month ego death—a stripping away of identity, paradigms, and beliefs. I moved from being “somebody” to “nobody,” and in that sacred emptiness, I asked the question: Who am I, and what is truly mine to do in this life?

In 2023, I was divinely guided to the Self Realization Fellowship, where I committed to the Raja and Kriya Yoga path of Paramahansa Yogananda. This devotion continues to transform me, deepening my relationship with the Divine and clarifying my true work: to support others in living lives of soul, purpose, and sacred contribution.
